Emily and Vinny had an amazing September wedding, surrounded by friends and family.
We started the morninng at L Salon South while Emily finished her hair and makeup. The wedding morning was really calm. With no formal wedding party, and her mother taking the role of Maid of Honor for the day, it was really special to just witness moments between her and her parents.
The morning details were so pretty and Emilys boquet from Savilles floral is probably one of my favorites to date. It was so elegant with pops of bold color.
After reading private vows from Vinny and having a first look with her father it was off to the church.
Saint John Paul II Catholic Community Church in Lakeview NY is small but stunning. A tiny chapel with beautiful warm tones made the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. At the conclusion Emily and Vinny exited to Confetti poppers, and boy did they deliver!
After family photos and a mini portrait session with the couple at the church, we were headed to the reception venue.
The Show at Shea’s Seneca really is one of my favorite venues around. It’s timeless historical charm offers so much for guests to look at. The bar photographs so well, and the black and white checkered dance floor is a total vibe! It is elegant, lavish, and totally one of a kind. I often see guests thpourhou the night just stadig around and taking in all the details this building has to look at.
We arrived about an hour before guests would show up, which was perfect to utilize the bar area for photos before it filled with guests for the night. Emily and Vinny got to enoy their signature cocktails while we finished the rest of portrait time.
Then it was time for my favorite part of the night…. THE PARTY!
I love when I can step back and allow you to just enjoy! Reception time we area usually shooting very candidly and just watching everyone enjoy themselves. We covered speeches, and all the formal dances.
The Emilys mom coordinated a dance to September by Earth, Wind & Fire, you know the song, it plays at every single time and is the best time. The lyric “Do you remember the 1st night of September”… well when thats your wedding date, a coordinated dance is a must!
Everyones reactions seriously were so much fun. I love following the energy of the dance floor…like after Emily changed into her reception dress.
This day was so special, and I’m always thankful for my clients trust in me.
Special thanks to The Day Of Buffalo wedding coordination, for being a total delight to work with.
