I met Adara during my first job as a teenager! We’ve come a long way since then, and I was so happy to reconnect with her during their wedding planning! I love when brides reach out for recommendations on other vendors, but rarely does a bride choose almost everyone you’ve recommend. The vendors for Adara and Matt’s wedding were truly the “dream team”. It was so nice to work with so many talented people in the industry and see how we all could create Adara and Matt’s dream wedding!
The girls and I started the morning at Salon Elizabeth! Lizzy is a true beauty artist and gives her brides a true experience! Her salon was the perfect backdrop for getting ready photos and so many stunning detail shots!
Once the morning was finished we headed to O’brien’s Sleepy Hollow to get this wedding day truly started! I was seriously blown away walking into the reception/ceremony areas. The amount of beautiful details throughout the venue took my breath away. I am such a sucker for eucalyptus accents, so that combined with some custom Harry Potter toast glasses got my heartbeat racing with joy!
Anyone who had the privilege of attending Matt and Adara’s ceremony could attest to the emotion that could be felt. Matt’s reaction to seeing his beautiful bride had me choking up. I am such an emotional person so it was a challenge to keep it together with these two! It’s so apparent how strong of a relationship these two have. Michelle from Yellowbird weddings really captured their relationship with her beautifully written ceremony.
We made our way through all the formal photos after the ceremony ended. First working with family who stayed at the ceremony site while guests made their way to the reception area. Then we took the wedding party around the property. Finally we were able to work with just Adara and Matt. I’d be lying if I didn’t admit this is my favorite part of the day. A time to take a deep breath and spend your first moments alone as husband and wife. Matt and Adara were so great during their photos and we had so much fun cracking jokes and just having a good time!
Dan from H&H Entertainment took over during the reception as we captured intros, cake cutting, toasts, and 1st dances! I had a great time taking photos of the dance floor along with their amazing bon fire/smore’s bar!
Ending the night with a few evening photographs and it was time to say goodbye. It’s so bittersweet leaving weddings days, because I truly LOVE days like this with all my heart!
