The possibilities for your engagement session location are truly endless…. after many years here are some of the top locations i’ve photographed in the Buffalo and surrounding areas. You do not by any means need to choose one of these, let’s chat about your dream session location!

Albright Knox Art Gallery – A popular one for a reason. The Albright Knox (now AKG) is popular for it’s mix of scenery and architecture. Stunning in every season and allows the ability to walk through Delaware Park and the surrounding areas.

Allegany State Park – Endless possibilities for nature and hilltop views! Perfect for those who love camping, hiking, or exploring the outdoors.

Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens – The Botanical Gardens is a great indoor option, giving you beautiful backdrops during any season. Perfect to mix the indoor greenhouses as well as the outdoor courtyard and gardens.

Buffalo History Museum + Japanese Gardens – Another popular location perfect for mixing architecture with surrounding nature.

Buffalo Riverworks – This one is so much fun… perfect for an iconic buffalo themed shoot… grab a drink on the patio and use the surrounding grain silos as a backdrop!

Buffalo rooftop / parking garage session – Parking garage sessions are super trendy and give beautiful views of the city. Reach out to discuss specific locations.

Buffalo area breweries – Buffalo has so many iconic bars/breweries. Do you frequent a specific spot together. Let’s grab a drink and incorporate it into your session.

Buffalo Theatre District / Main street buffalo – Theatre district is perfect for a mix of casual/formal outfits. We can circle the block incorporating some of Buffalos most iconic areas. From Shea’s performing arts center to iconic Buffalo Murals.

Chestnut Ridge State Park, Orchard Park NY – A southtown’s location most people are familiar with. Chestnut ridge is perfect for greenery, hiking trails, as well as hilltop views. Bonus: I love the commissioners cabin area/ fishing dock.

Delaware Park, Buffalo – Circling the Delaware Park area gives lots of variety for your session. From the stone bridge, rose gardens, Hoyt lake, and willow trees; this location has a lot to offer….. easily add in the architecture from Albright Knox too, just bring shoes comfortable for lots of walking.

Ellicottville NY / Holiday Valley – When you think of the autumn season it’s easy to think of Ellicottville NY. Lots of parks and trails to choose from, or mix in a walk through the village for a stunning session.

Evangola State Park – The perfect spot for a beach session, Evangola is worth the further drive to Angola.

Forest Lawn Buffalo – A session in a cemetary might not be for everyone, but Forest Lawn has so may stunning spots. It also has tons of beautiful trees that blossom in the spring time but avoid the crowds at some of the surrounding parks.

Fort Niagara State Park – Possibly one of my favorite beach spots… it’s small but the backdrop is stunning. A real hidden gem.

College / Universities – Did you and your partner meet attending the same univeristiy. Why not go back for your engagement session. I really enjoy these sessions and am always given a tour of the campus. Couples often reminisce, pointing out where their dorms were, certain buildings, or just hangout spots the remember.

Highland Park, Rochester NY – I never mind a drive to Rochester, and highland park is one of my favorite spots. Perfect during the early spring when the lilacs are in bloom.

Hobucks Flats, Derby NY – A short little hike brings you to the most stunning waterfall. This trail is typically super private and a great unique session idea.

Knox Farm State Park, East Aurora NY – One of the most popular parks for sessions, knox farm really does have it all. If tall grassy fields, and foliage are your vibes this is a great option! Brinf your walking shoes as it does include a bit of walking from spot to spot.

Tift Nature Preserve, Buffalo – Tift nature preserve is a stunning location right along Buffalos outer harbour. Lots of grassy hills and the ability to hike the nature trails. Easily add a secondary location ear the water front too, as it’s a quick drive over to both Gallagher pier or Wilkinson Point.
